During introductions at Griffin’s My Gym class this morning when the teacher asked Griffin to say his name (usually he responds Riffin), he confidently and proudly said
WOODY!
Not only is Griffin obsessed with Buzz and Woody, he now believes he is “them.” 
Right after Griffin turned two, a not so little obsession came to light. He is absolutely head over heels infatuated with Woody and Buzz Lightyear from the Toy Story movies. He must have at least one of them with him at all times. At home, on the go, and when he is sleeping, he wants them with him. He would watch a Toy Story movie over and over again if we would let him. I have to hide all his Toy Story clothing items (shirts and pajamas) he has otherwise he will whine and insist they be put on immediately.
This has been quite the challenge at times when we are out and about. It is not always appropriate to carry one of his favorite friends with him! This upcoming week at school should be interesting. He has been able to have Woody or Buzz with him throughout the school day, but starting this week, all comfort items must be kept in their backpacks until naptime. Uh oh!! Just when I thought we were finally into a good routine at school!!
